As we move into Autumn, I’ve been reflecting on what this season means to me. You hear people say Autumn is the time of letting go… but what does that mean? For me, I’ve noticed a change in what it means for me this year, compared to what it meant to me last year. While both led me to that natural autumn feeling of rest and feeling the need to look towards slowing down, this year it’s less intense and I know that’s because I’ve processed so much since being drawn to this way of being, this way of looking after myself.
We are all different and we have all been through different experiences and that is why it is so important to stop, surrender, check in and listen to your own inner – self. Feel into your body and ask yourself what do you need this season? And it will tell you if you listen. Be kind, be patient and loving with yourself. Is it to let go like the leaves, celebrate the abundance in your life and collect the last berries of the season or maybe it’s to gain clarity to set down your seeds of intentions ready to be nurtured into the next year.
As a continuous act of self-care, I feel the need to let go layer by layer. Breath by Breath, each moment of presence. The emotions that are still being stored in my body, in my cells, where it has the potential to cause dis-ease. Giving attention and awareness, gently and kindly feeling into it and letting them arise, allowing them to dissipate.
I am also taking time to celebrate how far I’ve come and feel into the gratitude I have for it all as well. My aim with all of this work is to reach for this good stuff, the gold, the love, the joy. We make space for all of this when we work on ourselves in this way.
Conscious Connected Breathwork is a really powerful way to connect with yourself on a deeper level. If you’d like to explore this then I’d love for you to come along to my upcoming workshops.
